The European Week of Clean Sport (EWCS) project was funded by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Sport programme between 2022-2024 to design, implement, and evaluate a pilot public campaign to promote clean sport values in the local sporting community in four European countries: Cyprus, Bulgaria, Portugal, and Poland.
Following the successful completion of the EWCS Campaign, Cyprus Anti-Doping Authority and the other partners of the EWCS project implemented the EWCS Stakeholder Engagement Workshop and the Conference “Clean Sport through Community Engagement” on 2-3 December 2024 in Limassol, Cyprus.
The EWCS Stakeholder Engagement Workshop was held on 2nd December and shared the key ideas, concepts, methodology, and results of the EWCS project with National Anti-Doping Organisations (NADOs) from different countries, aiming to establish new partnerships that will enable the implementation of the EWCS Campaign at a pan-European level.
The Conference “Clean Sport through Community Engagement” was held on 3rd December and included a series of presentations from the World Anti-Doping Agency, UK Anti-Doping, the EWCS consortium, and other anti-doping experts, as well as interactive roundtable discussions about the future development and sustainability of the EWCS Campaign.
Participants in the LTTE and the end-of-project Conference included sport organisations and NADOs from the following countries: Austria; Belgium; Bulgaria; Cyprus; Greece; Israel; Poland; Portugal; Romania; Norway; Turkey; and United Kingdom.
