The Cyprus Anti-Doping Authority (CyADA), in collaboration with National Anti-Doping Organisations (NADOs) from six European countries, has secured funding to implement the project European Week of Clean Sport 2.0 (EWCS 2.0). This award follows a successful grant under the Erasmus+ Sport programme of the European Commission. EWCS 2.0 will run between 2026-28 and will be coordinated by CyADA.
Building on the success of the first European Week of Clean Sport (2023–2025), delivered in four countries, EWCS 2.0 marks an important step forward. The new project expands to seven countries – Bulgaria, Cyprus, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, and Slovakia – with a stronger focus on volunteer engagement, inclusivity, and long-term impact.
The aim of EWCS 2.0 is to establish the European Week of Clean Sport as a flagship, community-based campaign across Europe. By working closely with National Anti-Doping Organisations and local sport stakeholders, the EWCS Campaign will raise awareness about the health risks and wider harms of doping, and shape public attitudes and norms against doping.
Activities will engage athletes, coaches, volunteers, educators, and sporting communities across elite, amateur, and recreational sport contexts. Through coordinated action, knowledge sharing, and capacity building, EWCS 2.0 will help strengthen Europe’s anti-doping culture and create sustainable foundations for clean sport education and prevention initiatives in the future.
