The Cyprus Anti-Doping Authority (CyADA) successfully hosted the first in-person international partners’ meeting in Larnaca between 23-24 January 2023. This is one of four partners’ meetings to be held between 2023 and 2024 as part of the project European Week of Clean Sport (EWCS), which is funded by the European Commission (Erasmus+ Sport).
Project EWCS is led by CyADA and includes national anti-doping organisations from Bulgaria, Poland, and Portugal, and EuropeActive, a sport organisation from Belgium. The main objective of the project is to develop, implement, and evaluate the European Week of Clean Sport, a campaign for the promotion of clean sport values and education, across different levels of sport.
During the meeting in Cyprus, the partners discussed plans to share best practices with key stakeholders in the field, such as the World Anti-Doping Agency, the International Olympics Committee, and other anti-doping and sport organisations from different countries. The 2nd in-person partners’ meeting will be held in Poland in May 2023 and will be hosted by the Polish Anti-Doping Authority (POLADA).
